Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-16
Purpose
This policy keeps the service available, legal, and fair for everyone. Using an API key means accepting it. Violations lead to throttling, key revocation, and where required, reports to authorities or affected platforms.
Prohibited uses
- Anything illegal in your jurisdiction or ours.
- Circumventing rate limits, quotas, or key revocation (e.g., mass re-registering keys).
- Load patterns intended to harm availability for others, or scripted abuse of upstream stores through our service.
- Using service output to harass, defame, or dox identifiable individuals.
- Claiming the data or analyses are official Apple/Google products, or reselling raw upstream data as a competing bulk feed.
AI-generated analyses
Pain-point results are machine-generated summaries of public reviews. You may not present them as verified facts, official store statements, or human research; you may not strip attribution when redistributing quoted review text; you remain responsible for how you use and frame outputs.
Sexually explicit and NSFW content
Sexually explicit content is prohibited on both the input and output side of the AI analysis service. Specifically:
- The AI does not and cannot accept free-form content for analysis. The only inputs are app identifiers from the public Apple/Google stores. Users cannot upload text, prompts, or images.
- The AI never generates, elaborates, or enriches sexual content. Its task is analytical clustering of complaints. System prompts restrict output to neutral analytical framing; there is no mode that produces erotic or pornographic text.
- When analyzing an app whose public reviews contain explicit language, short verbatim quotes may surface as evidence. This is third-party text from public stores, reproduced for analysis only — it is not produced, enhanced, or curated as explicit content by the service.
- Any attempt to trick the service into producing sexually explicit material, or to use its outputs as feedstock for pornographic or NSFW products, results in immediate key revocation and a permanent ban.
- Content involving minors is zero-tolerance: any such attempt is revoked, banned, and reported to relevant authorities and platforms.
Enforcement and appeals
Enforcement is proportionate: usually a warning or throttle first, revocation for repeat or serious violations. If you believe a key was revoked in error, email apppainapi@proton.me and we will review.
